Privacy Policy
Effective July 22, 2026
Soar Aerial Ridesharing (“Soar,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a DBA and trademark of Soar Technologies Inc., a Delaware corporation. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with our website soaraerial.com and our related products and services (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Contact information you provide directly to us — including your first name, last name, email address, mobile phone number, city, and, for pilot applicants, aviation credentials and hours flown.
- Waitlist and preferences— including the region(s) you’re interested in, expected flight frequency, and trip type preferences you tell us about when joining the waitlist.
- Communications — the content of messages you send us (for example, through the Contact page) and our responses.
- Automatically-collected information — IP address, approximate geographic location derived from your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring URL, and timestamps. We use this to understand how visitors use the site and to help our fraud-prevention and service-integrity work.
- Cookies and similar technologies — small data files that help the site function and let us measure traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
2. How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Services.
- To communicate with you about your waitlist status, launch updates in your region, product announcements, and — when the Services go live — booking confirmations, ride notifications, and customer-support messages.
- To evaluate applications from prospective pilots and aircraft owners.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
- For research and analytics that help us make the Services better.
3. SMS & text message communications
When you provide your mobile phone number and consent to receive text messages, we may send you SMS messages about:
- Waitlist status and launch updates in your region
- Once the Services go live: booking confirmations, ride updates, pilot arrival notifications, and receipts
- Occasional product announcements and account-related messages
- Customer-support responses
Message frequency varies by your activity. Most users receive fewer than four messages per month before service launches in their region; message volume may increase once you actively use the Services.
Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier rates apply to all SMS messages you send and receive. Contact your mobile carrier for details of your plan.
Opt-out. You can opt out of Soar SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send you a single confirmation message and will not send you further marketing or transactional SMS messages. To resume receiving messages, reply START.
Help. Reply HELP to any Soar SMS message for assistance, or email us at hi@soaraerial.com.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited cases:
- Service providers. Vendors we use to operate the Services — hosting (Vercel), email delivery (Resend), SMS delivery (Twilio, once wired), analytics, fraud prevention, and payment processing. They are contractually restricted from using your information for any purpose other than performing the service on our behalf.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, safety, property, or the rights, safety, or property of others.
- Corporate transactions. If Soar is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
We do not share mobile phone numbers, opt-in consent, or SMS-related data with any third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
5. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you ask us to delete your information, we will delete it within a reasonable time except where we’re required to retain it (for example, records required by aviation regulators or tax authorities).
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct or update inaccurate information.
- Delete your personal information (subject to legal exceptions).
- Opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us.
- Opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP (see Section 3).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hi@soaraerial.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
7. California residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect about you, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your CCPA rights, contact us at hi@soaraerial.com.
8. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a revised effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice (for example, by email or in-Service notification).
